To subscribe to a group, click the login button at the bottom of the page and then select the groups you want on the signup page and press submit. This will send private messages to /u/groupbot with the commands to subscribe you to those groups.
Alternatively, you can write the message manually. To subscribe to GROUP, send a message to /u/groupbot with "addtogroup GROUP" in the body of the message. Please note that Reddit Chat does not work, you must use private messages.

If you see a ping you think breaks the rules, please report it and message the moderators

Don't Spam: Listen to the group and try to only send pings others want to receive

Don't Brigade: Avoid posting links to subreddits that are likely to cause drama. Absolutely do not encourage participation in any linked threads

Don't Delete Pings: Getting a link to a bad ping is still less obnoxious than getting a link to a deleted comment

No one except the mods can see what groups you're subscribed to

Only one ping can be sent per comment

/u/groupbot does not pay attention to posts that are edited. If you misspell a group name, you'll need to delete the comment and post another one with the correct spelling
